Azerbaijani State Agricultural University (ADAU) held an event on November 8, the first anniversary of Victory Day.
The event was attended by the Head of the city Executive Power Niyazi Bayramov, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Ganja Zeki Ozturk, the Rector of ADAU, a corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov, representatives of the public, parents of martyrs, military personnel and university staff who participated in the Patriotic War and students.
First the participants visited the martyrs' memorials in the university's Student Park and laid flowers to them.
Then, at the event held in the administrative building of ADAU, the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of our lands was honored, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

The Head of the city Executive Power Niyazi Bayramov noted in his speech that the city of Ganja has been active in organizing events on the eve of Victory Day. He said that the Patriotic War that began on September 27 last year, which ended with the liberation of our occupied territories, has become the brightest page of our history. We thank our martyrs who gave us this Victory, and we wish our veterans good health.
Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Ganja Zeki Ozturk noted that today Azerbaijan and Turkey show a rare example of cooperation and alliance on a global scale.
During the Patriotic War, all the state structures of Turkey showed great perseverance in all spheres for the victory of Azerbaijan. Turkey has not retreated from the position of fraternal support.
The Rector of the Agricultural University Ibrahim Jafarov, noting that the blood of our martyrs did not remain on the ground, the enemy was given a worthy response, stressed that the glorious victory gained in the Karabakh was the bright result of the unity of our people and army around the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
In his speech, ADAU’s graduate, veteran of the Patriotic War Samir Hasanov said that in this war everyone witnessed the love of our people for the land and homeland. They thanked the Head of State for his attention and care.
In conclusion, students of the Agricultural University presented poems and songs glorifying heroism and patriotism to the participants of the event.
